Encased in a chrome-plated guard, this 16" glass sight gauge ensures that only stainless steel comes into contact with the liquid in the kettle. The sealing gasket is made of food-grade, high-temperature silicone. It includes a 1/2" bulkhead fitting, requiring only a 7/8" hole to be drilled in your kettle for installation. This size is ideal for our 15-gallon and 19-gallon Stainless Steel Brew Pots!

Fragile (Not The Italian Kind)

Dad jokes aside, it had work pretty great for threeish years, but the connection between the elbow and the sight glass threading is quite thin and broke with very little pressure. As well, when I had originally installed it, it was slightly crooked. Extremely easy to clean and very sanitary, its a great sight glass, I'm just clumsy.

Easy To Install!

Installed this a while ago, took a bit to get it leak free but finally got it. O-ring on the outside, washer and nut on the inside seemed to be the right combination.

Easy Peasy

Got one of these and it's easy to install and easy to clean. To get to the tube, you just have to unscrew the top & take note of how the gasket is in there. I have a thin brush for cleaning and blam, done. I've marked water volume on the side with electrical tape, so if I ever get a new pot, easy to adjust sight glass :D
