Before fermentation can even begin, the wort needs to be boiled first to promote the necessary chemical reactions and also bring out the bitter flavour of the hops. It is also important in sterilizing the wort to remove pathogens like bacteria and fungi that can make the wort go bad.

A brewing kettle is one of the arsenals that home brewers need to have. The tri-clad induction ready brew kettle is made from 200 series 18-gauge stainless steel which is a better material when compared with entry level brew kettles as it is resistant against corrosion as well as dents. It has the capacity to hold 25 gallons of wort. It is a suitable brew kettle for newbie home brewers.

It also comes with a tri-clad bottom for induction heating. The tri-clad bottom of this brew kettle is thicker than other entry-level kettles. This prevents the wort from caramelizing at the bottom which will eventually scorch the pan from the inside.

For convenience, this particular brew kettle comes with two pre-welded 1/2" NPT couplers, which are great for easily installing thermometers and ball valves as well as another pre-welded 1/2" NPT coupler that is intended to be used as a recirculation port. This can make it easier for home brewers for installation of the ball valves and thermometer that comes with the package.
