6" Bazooka Screen

Attach to a bulkhead and ball valve, installed in a cooler, and you have a mash tun. Add to a port in your kettle and you have a great way to filter hops from entering your fermenter.

Baby mash tun May 28, 2015
Reviewer: Peg from Walkerton, Ontario
One gallon all grain probably doesn't 'need' a mash tun but it's fun to have one. I used a 2-gallon Igloo, removed the spigot and the bazooka fits the hole perfectly with enough threads on the exterior to force fit a 1-in clamped hose with the Igloo spigot on the end. During mash the hose is secured above the height of the liquid. Yes, extremely low tech and plastic and total cost is the bazooka screen, 2 clamps @0.59ea and $1.00/ft of hose. Cooler not included, reused spigot and washer.

Works Well. June 16, 2014

I use this in my boil kettle to strain out hops. Gets plugged up a bit on highly hopped beers but works well for most.

works great April 16, 2014

Let the hops, trub and break settle out. Open the valve very slowly. Let wort trickle out. It's nice and clear. Rinse when done until clean- a snap. Much clearer wort when using this

Works great April 16, 2014

Sits off the floor of the brew pot enough so that all the trub stays under it and those that don't, this won't allow it to pass through. Well worth the money!

Useful in the boiler September 30, 2013

This may be used instead of or with a whirlpool to get as few as possible trub in the fermenter after the boil.
