American Pale Ale (5.25 US Gal) Extract Kit with Specialty Grains

A hoppy and refreshing ale with a clean malt flavour. Strong aromas of citrus and grapefruit. Flavour is the same, citrus and grapefruit and a underlying subtle sweetness from the caramel malt steeping grains. Caramel flavour is restrained just enough to let the hops shine through.

Diving into brewing for the 1st time. September 18, 2017
Reviewer: Phylip from Baie-Comeau
Friday night late brew after coming back from work. Had no real experience and got out just fine. No research other then reading the receipe. Can't fail this one. If you do...you might wanna learn the basics. Nice experience with the Bayou 7gal starter kit.

Expecting more hop aroma/favour July 28, 2017
Reviewer: Blackhawks from Calgary
I have only tried four 22 oz bottles so far but was expecting more aroma from the 2 oz of Cascade @ 5 min. It takes me about 20-30 minutes to cool the 5.25 gallons wort in a Rubbermaid container so maybe the extra time in the hot wort creates too much bitterness and not enough aroma/flavour. I'll delay the hops at 0 min flame out next time, or even better, try the Hopbursted Pale Ale next time.

Great Beer November 12, 2013
Reviewer: Rob Prouse from Hamilton, ON Canada
I've been mainly doing all-grain brews lately, but decided to give an extract kit a try to save a bit of time on brew day. I am really impressed with this beer. It has lovely hop flavours, but isn't too bitter or hop forward like some pale ales. Even my wife likes it.

My only issue is if I will be able to brew it faster than I can finish the kegs. I think this will be one of my staples.

Good Purchase October 21, 2013
Reviewer: Frank Min from Toronto, ON Canada
Great smelling kit and easy to follow instructions. However, one of the three hop packages was not properly vacuum sealed. But since it arrived in 2 days, I won't fret on it. Can't wait to finally drink it!
