4 of 5 Good sturdy powerful burner November 23, 2015
Reviewer: Robert Reynolds from Victoria, BC
I won one of these from an OBK contests (THANKS!)

This replaced my $30 walmart burner. This burner is obviously better made, much sturdier with surer footing and thicker metal than my old burner. Assembly was easy enough, and took about 5 minutes.

The burner is pretty powerful and can bring 15 gallons of wort to a boil pretty quickly, I haven't timed it but it is significantly faster than my old burner. The burner is loud, but not screaming loud like some of the Jet burners out there.

The only con I have are that the burner element itself isn't made from stainless steel and has started to rust after only 2 brews. The burner does get stored outdoors when not in use, and nothing else shows any signs of rust or wear, just the burner. But I wanted to point out that it isn't 100% pure stainless steel. The small amount of rust on the burner isn't likely to impact performance for a long long time.
