Belgian Pale Ale (5.25 US Gal) Extract Kit with Specialty Grains

A fruity, moderately malty and somewhat spicy, easy drinking, copper-coloured ale. Belgian Pales are a somewhat complex ale, gathering flavours from a balance of the specialty grains, yeast, and hops. The malt brings flavours of slight caramel and biscuit, whereas the hops and yeast bring fruitier flavours like pear, orange, and citrus. Aroma has a subtle sweetness to it as well as some peppery notes.

Go for the WLP500 yeast October 23, 2016
Reviewer: Trevor Armstrong from Whitby, ON Canada
Go for the WLP500 yeast - Worth the extra few bucks. I've never used s-33 before.  While it did finish extremely fast (40 hrs), it's the "chalkiest", most non-floctuating yeast I've ever used (I'm on my 15th batch).  2 weeks in the keg, SO much yeast in suspension.  I can see sediment in my beer line!  That's really something.

Otherwise, very nice recipe.

Delicious! June 18, 2014
Reviewer: Brew Darrymore from Toronto, ON Canada
Opened the first bottle today and I'm very happy with the result! Kept 3 weeks in primary, then bottled. It's been exactly 2 weeks today since bottling and the carbonation is done! I've never used Fermentis S-33 yeast before but it did a great job. The beer reminds me of a slightly lighter version of Leffe Blonde.

Get it, brew it, drink it!

Awesome Beer June 13, 2014
Reviewer: Brent S from Peterborough, ON Canada
Followed the instructions exactly and the OG/FG were dead on. Great ingredients made a great beer. The smell coming out of the air lock as it fermented made my mouth water.

Great kit March 4, 2014
Reviewer: Jim from Toronto
Fresh ingredients shipped quickly. The wort smelled and tasted great and the original gravity was right on target. Good active fermentation. I will add some tasting notes after we sample the first bottle.
