Poor response to a helpful suggestion January 15, 2018

The cheap brew kettle isn't induction compatible. The rest of the kit seems great and I can't wait to get started. Iron-based steel is compatible, nickle-based isn't. If you've got any stove other than induction, should be fine.  Messaged support and their response was decidedly unpleasant. Maybe due to it being the holiday season.  Shopping elsewhere from now on.

Definitely worth it! October 11, 2017
Reviewer: Mitchell Roberts from Toronto
After doing a lot of research on the best brewing starter kit, and e-mailing the sales staff from Ontariobeerkegs.com to ask a couple questions (they got right back to me) I ordered this brewing kit. I ordered it on a Saturday (using the flat rate shipping) and it came the following Tuesday. I couldn't believe how fast it came using the cheapest shipment option. Everything that was supposed to be in the kit was there, including the correct two 3.5 gallon kits that came with it. I would say everything in this kit is of the best quality besides perhaps the stainless steel pot. The pot worked fine, but the metal was thin and when heated up became a bit flimsy. It scared me for a second when the bottom of the pot bent around my burner (at first I thought it burnt right through the pot), but everything was fine and everything worked out. I'll definitely be ordering off this website again. Thanks!

Good Place to Start May 20, 2014

Good to get your feet wet.

I bought this to start with OBK's 3 gallon batches and it is perfect. When I find a something I really like I'll brew a 5 gallon with this kettle and use the top up method. I'm sure I'll step up to a lager one in the future but this seems to be a good place to start.

Like the previous review I like the bottling bucket, I just added valves to the ones in this kit. My siphon worked fine though.

Great kit to start brewing with February 18, 2014

Got this kit about a year ago.  Great kit for a newbie brewer to use.  One thing i wish it came with was a bottle bucket with a spigot and the auto syphon didn't work well but overall a great starter kit
