English Barleywine (5.25 US Gal) Extract Kit with Specialty Grains

The richest & strongest of all the English ales. A showcase of malt richness and intense, complex flavours. The character of these strong ales can change significantly over time, but both fresh and aged versions should be appreciated for what they are. Expected can be flavours of strong, intense, complex, multi-layered malt flavours ranging from bready and biscuity to nutty, dark caramel, toffee and molasses. Aged barleywine can bring notes of dark fruitiness and a dried-fruit character. Moderately sweet with just enough hop bitterness to keep in balance.

Fantastic extract brew April 23, 2017
Reviewer: Trevor Armstrong from Whitby, ON Canada
This was one of my last extract brews before going all grain.  Six months later, and 20 all grain brews in, this extract brew is still one of my best, and that is saying a lot (the AG brews have been out of this world).  A delicious recipe.  Go with the WLP002.  I bought it with this kit and have used it in 9 batches thus far. Liquid yeast for the win.

Heavenly October 5, 2013
Reviewer: Mark Healy from Calgary
I'm now on my third batch of Barleywine and it just keeps getting better. I have searched out and tried every Barleywine in the liquor store I could find. With this  one I don't need to anymore. This kit is better than any I've been able to taste ( no I haven't tasted all the microbrews out of the states....I am trying though)
In Calgary anyone I've served it to rates much better then Brewsters Blue Monk Barleywine ( brew pub on tap) , which I always thought was pretty good.
