1 of 5 Disappointed May 28, 2019

Purchased 2 for 10 gallon+ batches.

While originally I thought these would be very suitable for primary fermentations or easy access for dry hopping, in actual application they were disappointing.

The weakness is the O ring. I've struggled multiple times getting a good air lock and after inspection the O ring never seems to fit well enough, usually it appears far to large. One even fell in to a batch once while I was unscrewing the lid.

I purchased new O rings because of my original investment thinking it was an unlucky batch and found the same problem. They must stretch out over time and purchasing a new O ring for every batch isn't a suitable solution to me. I've now got two rather new, unusable plastic buckets, that don't seal since the O ring is required.

Spend your money on another product.

5 of 5 Makes Beer and Cleans Up Easily May 28, 2019

I've made quite a few beers in these now. The 7 gal capacity is ample especially if you are transferring to 5 gal kegs. No worry about blow off. Cleanup is super easy. If you transport them full, the sidewalls will flex causing pressure changes inside the fermenter which will be noticeable in the bubbler. I used to worry about oxidation as a result, but it has never happened. I liked mine so much a bought a second.

5 of 5 FerMonster 7 gallon Premium Fermenter July 28, 2017
Reviewer: Jay from Kirkland Lake
Very nice and beautiful, easy to clean and better visibility of the fermentation than even my glass carboy which is a pain to clean on any day. These weigh nothing really, I bought solid lids (not sure why gaskets are not included at the price) so I just put these on loose for semi open fermentation, yet the cat can`t have a taste and then fall in, spoiling precious beer, so solid lids and CO2 blanket will keep things very sanitary. Might put spigots on, they come ready for this step, no siphon kegging, not sure yet. Nice premium Canadian product. Can`t wait to ferment a big beer in these- the headroom looks very good. Using the glass fermenter for long term dandelion wine now. Heavy, obsolete and no longer relevant fermenter. I prefer pails for wine ferments. Beers now go in the FerMonsters for sure. Cheers.

4 of 5 Stopper size July 28, 2017
Reviewer: Jonathan from Gatineau, QC
Holy jesus-stopper size!
Not the description, but the hole for the stopper is huge. After some research, I will need a #10 stopper for this. Would be nice to include in description so I could have bought one at the same time.
No biggy, but I thought I would share.

Other than that, I am using the fermenter in the next few days and will let people know how I like it (look great until now!)
