Homebrewing Equipment and Tools

The secret of a good home brewing system is to get the essential home brewing tools. These may be simple tools and equipment that you may already have in your kitchens such as brewing pots, grain bags, rubber stoppers, Stainless Steel spoons and scoops. Tools for your equipment are relatively inexpensive, but they are very important in maintaining the functionality and integrity of your brewing system.

When choosing the type of home brewing tools and equipment for your mini brewery, there are some things that you need to consider. Choose tools for their purpose and functionality. For instance, having a wrench is important in repairing or adjusting nuts and bolts, long-handled spoons are handy for stirring your grains or retrieving something that may have fallen in your brew pot. Another thing to consider is quality. Brewing tools may be cheap, but this does not mean that they should have flimsy qualities. Choose those that are made from Stainless Steel because they are rust-resistant and they last for a long time when cared for properly. (more info below)

Once you have assembled your brewing tools and accessories, make sure that you organize them properly. Since they can be small, it is quite easy to misplace or lose them. Constantly buying them is not only inconvenient but also expensive in the long run. Keep them organized inside a box and make sure that they are always near your home brewing system for easy access.

For the do-it-yourself handy person, we also stock step bits and hole punches.

Please Note: Ontario Beer Kegs will NOT replace or accept returns on kettles, brew buckets, chronicals or other products that you have damaged using a step bit or hole punch.
