Hop Filters, Mash Bags And Caddy Baskets
Want to contain those hops in your brew kettle? One way is to use a hop filter. Dealing with trying to strain your wort can be a tedious task, and we have different products to help you contain and filter your hops and grains; false bottoms, bazooka screens, hop filters, steeping bags and grain baskets. We also have Stainless Steel hop filters that are for dry hopping in your 2.5 or 5-gallon kegs.
Hop bags are convenient for most homebrewers, especially if they are using small brew kettles. Hop/mash bags are cheaper than other methods of filtering hops and made from muslin cloth or nylon mesh, plus they are re-usable. The disadvantage in using hop sacks is that homebrewers may experience a decrease in hop utilization, using pellet hops instead of whole hops may improve the flavour of the beer by about 10%.
