Make sure to calibrate March 24, 2015 Reviewer: Justin A. from Guelph, ON   Test your brewing water with your hydrometer and subtract that from your SG readings. For instance, my hydrometer reads my water as being 1.001 at 60F, so I subtract 0.001 from all of my SG readings. Readings should either be taken at 60F or converted to 60F (Beersmith has a tool which will do this for you). I suspect these two things will rectify any accuracy issues you have with this hydrometer. Was this review helpful to you?

Good hydrometer, great price October 24, 2013 Reviewer: Nick Pruiksma from Dunrobin, ON Canada   I ordered two after I had my only hydrometer broke during a brew session. Great price, but the two hydrometers read differently on the same sample of liquid; one is about 4 gravity points higher than the other. Excellent Hydrometer September 30, 2013 Reviewer: Ryan Anderson from Nepean, ON Canada   This hydrometer is well priced and easy to use. Obviously it is fragile since it is made of glass. Always put it back in the case as soon as possible and don't put it in hot liquids to avoid thermal stress. It's not pyrex people! Was this review helpful to you?
