Imperial Milk Stout (5.25 US Gal) Extract Kit with Specialty Grains & Lactose

A very dark, sweet and full bodied ale with lots of roasty notes and reminiscent of a sweetened expresso. Dark roasted grains are prominent and lead to chocolate and coffee flavours. Added hop bitterness to balance with the sweetness of the lactose milk sugar. A cream-like mouthfeel on a big beer like this makes it an excellent dessert drink.

Ordered this last year and it makes a great seasonal beer. all summer we talked about how great this one was but we had our to do list to work from. Winter is coming soon so glad this is on the Repeat list, looking forward to batch 2 and 3 this season.

Very excited! December 7, 2013
Reviewer: Travis from Regina, SK Canada
Finally got to start this bad boy, and so far I'm very excited.  Ingredients were all fresh and once in the brew pot, they all smelled amazing!  Still peculating in the primary, so we will see what I final taste is like in a few weeks!

***  Just a quick note now that the beer is done fermenting, chilled, and in my tummy, it is delicious.  Nice balance between the malt and hops.  Creamy espresso indeed!! 8% abv is bang on too!  Thanks!!  ***
