I bought a chugger pump kit and it comes with, I think, ultraflex 1/2 id x5/8 od silicone tubing. they shouldn't sell these tubes has they kink close to their connection area especialy when the pumps are running and the temperature is high. A thicker (3/4'' od) normal silicone hose works perfectly. I had to support the hoses everytime to ensure proper flow. Not funny. Also, it is also advised to add a drain valve at the exit port to purge and drain the pump. Install a T-fitting 1/2'' npt , 1 valve facing down, coupled with a drain hose connected to a bucket and finally install the valve included in this kit, facing up. Open the valve facing down when you start the pump until air is removed from the inlet hose Way easier to ensure the pump works correctly. You better try your pump and ckeck for leakage at high temperature: the viscosity of the liquid is lower and I had leaking issues when brewing with hot wort.
