Intertap Auto-Close Spring
Auto-Close Spring For Intertap Faucets

Alternative Views:

The Intertap Auto-Close Spring is made of stainless steel and is an ideal spring for turning your recessed shank and faucet set up into an auto-close one. The spring fits between the tap shank and the faucet within the set up, so when you release the handle the tap automatically closes. Allowing you to avoid wasting beer, and keeping your beer as bacteria free as possible. This spring is intended to be used with the Intertap family of products (not compatible with Intertap Flow Control Faucet).

A RECESSED SHANK AND TAP IS REQUIRED. It will not work with a shank or tap if it is not a recessed one, so please ensure that you have a compatible shank and tap prior to ordering.

Excellent Product January 31, 2019

I installed the spring on my new 2nd Gen tap and it worked flawlessly. For anyone having issues  with the handle not springing back, try loosening the tap handle collar. If it is too tight against the tap body, it will prevent the tap handle from springing back. I recommend this item.

Solid Performance February 27, 2018

I've been using these on 4 Intertaps with outstanding results. Yes, they are hard to install. You have to compress them and try and screw the tap onto the shank without releasing tension. But, once you get a couple threads on, it is easy to finish. Recommended!

Disappointed January 15, 2018

I just got two of these and as Alex stated, they are too long and strong to install properly.  I managed to get the first one in to test and it was almost too hard to pull the tap.  I do have a compatible shank as listed above with my Intertap faucet.

spring too strong/long September 18, 2017
Reviewer: Alex from GTA
Bought this spring as a replacement for my current intertap gen2 setup on a recessed shank.
The spring is 3/4" longer and a lot more sturdy then the older springs I have. It is almost impossible to mount the faucet and engage the nut of the shank to the threads of the faucet. There is way to much force.

Don't Bother July 28, 2017

I installed these on all 4 of my new intertaps about 6 months ago as an extra security to ensure taps never accidentally got bumped open spilling precious beer everywhere. When I installed them only 2 of the 4 worked right away, i ended up re positioning them a couple times and got them sort of working for the most part. After 6 months of use all 4 of them no longer do anything and it is basically like they are not even there as all taps can be left in the open position and won't spring back. I wouldn't spend the extra $3 on these again unless you want to remove your taps and preposition these constantly to get them to keep springing closed.
