WARNING!

- Does not work with ripple model elements (wave shape).

- When you add an element it must be wired by a qualified electrician, enclosed in a water-tight enclosure and protected with a GFCI circuit breaker! Improper wiring and/or control of a heater element can KILL YOU! If you have any doubt, please return it for a full refund.

- This device is inherently dangerous. Improperly used, dangerous pressure can quickly build in the tube resulting in an explosion of boiling liquid that is extremely harmful and will result in everything from extreme burns to death

- When assembling the RIMS tube, be sure that the element is not contacting the body or thermowell of the RIMS tube. Never use an element that cannot be installed without clearing the tube body.

- Never rotate the inlet and outlet while the RIMS tube is in operation.

- If you have any doubts in your ability to install and operate this element adapter, please do not buy it.

4 of 5 Unnecessary extra threads + comments on cable size November 3, 2017
Reviewer: Justin A. from Guelph, ON
As other reviewers mention, this is a very solid, heavy component. I would recommend this product. My only critique of the design is that it is threaded down the entire length of the TC section, which is about 10 threads. The Camco elements only have 3-4 threads. The result is that there are some needless extra threads that are exposed to the wort and will "have to be cleaned". This is hot side, so not that big of a deal, but something to keep in mind. As for the cable gland, it should fit 12/3 SJOOW, which is what I'd recommend for up to a 5500watt element (rated for 25A at 300VAC). 12/3 SOOW, what another reviewer attempted to use is for up to 25A at 600VAC and has MUCH thicker insulation (15.24mm diameter for SOOW vs. 10.92mm diameter for SJOOW), don't undersize your conductors as the other commenter suggests is necessary, buy the proper cable!

4 of 5 love it ! October 26, 2017
Reviewer: Alex from Toronto
Love this TC housing for straight elements. I am using it with a 5.5kW element.
The description is incorrect when it comes to the size of the strain relief. It is a PG16
gland which offers a 14mm maximum inner diameter. I had to downsize to a AWG14
SOOW 14/3 wire to make it work without starting to change the housing and buying a larger PG21 gland for my larger AWG12 cable, I intended to use. Overall it could be a little cheaper
and maybe a little less heavy. It's just a little too solid.

5 of 5 Godzilla of heating element housings. October 23, 2016
Reviewer: Kevin Moore from Petrolia, ON Canada
There is absolutely no denying the quality of this item, in materials or construction. It's a tank...
Walls of the housing have to be 3/16" thick solid machined 304 SS.
It's shiny, perty, well made  and rediculously solid. Don't drop it on your toe lol. Pricey, but now i know why. This is it if you wan't that quality.
