Beer Shanks and Tail Pieces

Has the time come for you to start kegging and dispensing your homebrew instead of bottling? When you decide to start kegging your homemade beer you will find that doing so can serve more than one purpose. Yes, you will need different tools in order to properly use your Sanke or Cornelius (Corny) kegs, and for dispensing, beer shanks and tail pieces are a must.

Beer shanks come in different sizes, but if you find that yours is longer than what you need, don't fret, as the extra metal can keep the beer faucet cool. Installing the beer shank is easy and all you need to do is drill a hole. Securing it in place requires a compression ring to be installed at the back of the wall. (more info below)

The front of the beer shank has a faucet coupling which you use to attach the faucet head. The back end of the shank has threads that allow you to attach the tailpiece using a beer nut. Shanks may be small and basic, but their designs vary depending on how you want to use them. Shanks and tailpieces made from Stainless Steel may also be used for dispensing wine and other acidic beverages without creating any off-flavours. With these accessories, drawing draft beer from the keg is a breeze.

We, at Ontario Beer Kegs, are dedicated to providing your home brewing needs.
