The heater kit contains a 12V adhesive heating pad, a digital temp controller module and a power supply.Quickly install the heater kit in minutes, simply remove the panel from the bottom of the unit and stick the pad underneath the bottom side of the 5 degree conical bottom. The heating pad will be toggled on and off by the digital controller which is powered by the plug pack (6 amp). The system is intended to hold a stable temperature of your choosing, anywhere between 150F to 160F traditionally. It is not intended or capable of increasing temps between 120F to 155F. It provides a far better alternative to most current plastic cooler type setups that often have a big temperature decay over time and no ability to stabilize or hold a flat temperature.

Saved me a few times! March 18, 2018

I'm still calibrating my new system, and sometimes undershoot the strike water temp vs heat loss in transfers and adding the grains. With the MTSs I was able to save a few batches and keep them in the intended mash profile. with this kit you can definitely open the tun and stir every 15 minutes or so, it'll even the temp in the entire kettle, and if too much heat was lost the pad will quickly heat it up, but then the temp gets uneven in the tun again, so open it and stir!! Using it with the 10gal InfuSsion tun.
