Works well January 25, 2016

I used it for the first time this week-end in my 8 Gallons economy brew kettle, It works as intended, Make a whirlpool with the brewspoon and let it rest for 10 minutes before transfering and all the hops will stay in the middle of the kettle.

ID could be larger June 26, 2015

Clogs fairly easily (tube ID is on the smaller end), so should be used in conjuncture with a hop filter of some sort. It also adds further threaded surfaces to your brew pots. I have two of these (purchased as kettle upgrades) that I will probably replace in the near future.

Not a great fit February 26, 2015
Reviewer: Richard McAteer from Ottawa
The dip tube was an option with the purchase of my 8 gallon tall boy, but it doesn't fit well in that pot.  It was a pretty simple matter to cut the tube to a shorter length.  The steel ferrule in the compression fitting was great, but one of my kids lost a piece of it when I was working on cutting the pipe (and hence the pieces were out on the table), and I have not been able to source a replacement.  I have a brass ferrule in there presently, which is not as good a fit.

Perfect for drawing off of the side of my keggle! No trub equals clearer beer!

Works great March 4, 2014

The pickup tube fit my 9-gallon pot perfectly. After a vigorous whirlpooling and settling time, the pickup tube drained the pot almost to the bottom without sucking up trub.

Standard shipping took one day to get to Toronto.
