Used this today and it got totally clogged with only 4oz of hops. Took around 20-30min to drain. Used it in my robobrew v3. Need a version with a less fine screen.

5 of 5 Works great in my 15g OBKettle January 1, 2017

Works awesome in my 15 gallon OBKettle, I've not done any hop heavy beers recently however the hops that do go in have plenty of room and nothing gets out.  Very effective and at a great price.  Definitely worth adding onto your next order

5 of 5 Best SS hop spider for the price November 24, 2016

I got this hop spider just before brewing a 6 gallon clone of Pliny the Younger, and it performed well during that brew day. It fits perfectly in my 16 gallon economy brew pot, and extends from gallon marking 13 all the way to down to gallon marking 2. When boiling down to 6 gallon batches, a max. of 175g (~6oz) of pellet hops can remain submerged. The quality is pretty good (i've used it about eight times with no foreseeable issues), and cleaning is easy (just suds with soap, spray with hose). At this price point it's a good deal.

5 of 5 Hop Spider November 24, 2016
Reviewer: Joe Locke from Toronto, ON Canada
Having the bazooka screen in my kettle clog with hops has been a pain, so I gave the hop spider a try.
I've brewed several batches using it and I love it!  It does a great job of keeping the hops contained, resulting in ease of transferring wort from kettle to carboy.  No more clogged bazookas.  The handle is easy to bend so you can adjust the height to suit your kettle.  It's nice and big, so it makes lots of contact with the wort and you can throw a LOT of hops in there.  It's easy to clean.
My main concern was that I would lose hop flavour and aroma, but after tasting a double IPA and imperial black IPA brewed using the hop spider, my concerns were put aside.  The beers are terrifically hoppy.  If there was loss of hop utilization it was negligible.
I'll use this every brew day from now on.
An unexpected bonus was realizing that, after the mash, I could pour the wort from my mash tun through the hop spider into the kettle, catching any little bits of grain that snuck through.
