Stout Faucet
Stout Faucet

This is a traditional pub faucet for use with ales or stouts on a beer gas system (nitrogen/CO2 mix).

Beer is forced through a restrictor plate that degasses it and creates a frothy head with little tiny bubbles.

Excellent! September 29, 2014

This faucet works very well. Advice for noobs like me: if you are going to be spending cash for a big tank of beer gas to push all your brews, consider investing in a regulator system that will let you serve the stout at a relatively high pressure (32-35 lbs works great for me on short beer lines), and much lower pressure for other beers (I use 18-20 lbs, after force carbing with CO2).

I like this faucet a lot but also note that the screw for the tap handle is quite long. The handles I have won't screw in all the way. I replaced the nut on the stout faucet with the SS collar from on old regular tap, and that took up the extra space and left enough for a solid connection to the handle.

Game changer! May 24, 2014
Reviewer: Tim Greenough from Sudbury, ON Canada
Before installing this I was pouring my porters and stouts through a picnic tap.  My first pull with this blew me away.  My brews went from having absolutely no head, to a great creamy head with professional like cascading.  It's an absolute must have if you brew porters or stouts.  Really solid and well built product.

Broke when pouring the first beer - but fixed! January 12, 2014
Reviewer: Stephen Cameron from Brooklin, ON Canada
The description states that this is ALL metal (Heavy).  This is not actually true.  There is a plastic black part under the handle.  It broke on the very first beer I poured.  I'll be calling OBK first thing Monday for a solution.

Looks good but so far not very impressed.

Updated - Patrick from OBK rectified this problem very quickly.  Within 2 days I have the replacement part, which is easily replaced with a screwdriver.  I am impressed with the lengths that OBK goes to, to satisfy their customers.

Best price for a Stout faucet October 8, 2013
Reviewer: Richard Allen from Mercier, QC Canada
The best price I could find for a Stout faucet. Works fine to pour a nice pint with nitro, but tend to get sticky and retain some beer in the tip part.
