When choosing tubing for your brewing system, it is important to know where it is being used and what job you want that hosing to perform. If the tubing is being used for liquid transfers, you must also be aware of the liquid's temperature will be that is running through the tubing. If you are transferring hot wort, you need hoses that can withstand a high temperature; if you transfer from your fermenter, then the temperature rating on the tubing is not a factor.

You must also be aware of the hardware where you will be attaching the tubing, as they come in different diameters. Choosing a food-grade material and hoses with a smooth interior is perfect for liquid transfers and dispensing.
