White Labs WLP002 English Ale Yeast
White Labs WLP002 English Ale Yeast

White Labs WLP002 English Ale Yeast -- A classic ESB strain, but is suited for almost any English style ale including milds, bitters, porters, and English style stouts. Sourced from one of England's largest independent breweries. Flocculation will leave this beer very clear and with a suitable lower attenuation will leave some residual sweetness in your final beer.

Possible Source: Fullers Brewery

Includes Free Ice Pack

We highly recommend adding a Metallic Insulated Yeast Mailer when buying liquid yeast. The mailer keeps your yeast cold for an additional 24 hours. It can safely hold up to 4 yeast and ice packs. We only guarantee yeast that is shipped using these mailers.

Very nice yeast strain! November 23, 2015
Reviewer: Tyler Melanson from Shediac, NB Canada
Flocculates very well, do not be alarmed by the clumpiness of the yeast when doing a starter, this is totally normal for the yeast strain.

Delicious Pumpkin Brew/Small Lag time September 27, 2013
Reviewer: Ian from Outremont, QC Canada
This started to ferment (with a starter) in less than an hour. I'm not kidding. Don't be dismayed by the clumpiness of the yeast, it has not gone bad, this strain floculates like nothing else. Great price too. Fast shipping. Reliable.

Great yeast August 27, 2013
Reviewer: Ryan P from Charlottetown, PE Canada
Made an "English Pub Ale" with this yeast and did an A/B test with Wyeast 1332 Northwest Ale yeast. This yeast turned out far far better.

Great for malty/sweeter beers. July 30, 2013
Reviewer: Jeffery from Victoria, BC Canada
Very reliable yeast that ferments and clears quickly. Excellent malty and sweet flavour that complements english styles very well. Also good with hop forward beers, although it will mask some hop aroma/flavour. Seems tolerant to relatively high temperatures without producing undesirable off flavours.
