It has a capacity to hold as much as 30 quarts or 7.5 gallons of wort for moderately large batch brewing. The material is also resistant against rust and corrosion thus it can last for a long time.

While it is a great stock pot for boiling the brew, the Bayou Classic steel stock pot is also a great pot that can be used for other purposes. It is a multi-purpose pot that can also be used in boiling large volumes of soups and stews. A separate steamer can also be purchased as the pot comes with a rim that can hold a steaming basket.
