Expected can be flavours of strong, intense, complex, multi-layered malt flavours ranging from bready and biscuity to nutty, dark caramel, toffee and molasses. Aged barleywine can bring notes of dark fruitiness and a dried-fruit character. Moderately sweet with just enough hop bitterness to keep in balance.
