This recipe kit creates a very dark, sweet, and full-bodied ale with lots of roasty notes, reminiscent of a sweetened espresso. Dark roasted grains are prominent, leading to chocolate and coffee flavours. Added hop bitterness helps balance the sweetness of the lactose milk sugar. The brew has a cream-like mouthfeel, making it an excellent dessert drink. As this is a recipe kit it does not contain alcohol, it includes ingredients required to brew your own. Flavor

Pros: If you are looking for a beer which is far from light tasting... this is a great choice. Flavor is definitely its middle name. I particularly taste the roasted coffee side of things. Really good. Cons: Perhaps slightly more complex to brew than what my beginner skills might be up for at this point. You see, even though it turned out awesome (so much taste), according to my hydrometer readings I only finished with about 6.5% rather than the expected 9%. I guess I will have to try brewing this one again at some point. :)
