American IPA Extract Kit With Specialty Grains (5.25 US Gal)

This was my first brew ever. Miscalculated LME and added too much. Dry hopped with 1 oz of cascades. The result is AMAZING! I normally love Goose IPA and Boreale IPA, and this brew is just as good if not better!

I chose this as my first batch to make. Turned out fantastic. I'm drinking the first one writing this review. Couldn't have been any easier. It is delicious and I'm so proud that I made this beer. I'm hooked. OBK has made everything possible. Fast shipping and easy to use website they have it all. I am happy they are there for a guy like me looking to brew my own beer. I'm so glad I did. My second batch ever and it is perfect!!! Nothing less!Exactly the amount of hop I want (a lot!).The perfect citrus/tropical/grapefruit taste I looked for.Perfect carbonation.Its on par with the goods IPA I have bought in stores...Seriously!I'm very surprised...Note: 4 oz of priming sugar is by the weight...not the volume!!!!My first batch was flat because of this!!! ;-)

Amazing beer - I dry hopped with Simcoe (1/2 oz) for 2 days then cold crashed and cleared in the keg with gelatin. Tastes like mango and passionfruit with a little bit of a bitter underlying. One of my best beers yet. OG was 1.059 and FG was 1.010 after 12 days, before dry hopping. 2 glasses and I can say I am very happy.

I made this as my first ever full boil batch. Although I'm happy with the result, I did have to add some additional LME to make it up to the recommended OG. It came with a full pound of dextrose, maybe I was supposed to add this to the boil, rather than save it for priming? The instructions are not the greatest, in my opinion. Final result was a pleasantly hoppy 5% alcohol IPA.

Made this kit as my first brew ever. Turned out really good. Very happy with the final product. Excited to tamper with the recipe a bit and make it even better.
