Awesome, Easy Recipe.

Great, easy recipe. To try something different I also steeped some cocoa powder (1 cup at the end of the boil; 10 mins)and then threw in a vanilla bean four days into primary fermentation. No secondary. It tastes delicious. Will definitely try this one again.

Wow!

Of the 8 brews I've made, this takes the cake. I am very happy with this one even after only 1 week in bottle conditioning. I bottled it after only 2 weeks of primary fermentation. I'm holding on a few bottles because it will only get better!!! Might have to brew this one again actually.

A Great Crowd Pleaser.

I was looking for something to put on tap over the holidays that was accessible for my non-craft drinking family but still enjoyable by me. This beer was perfect for that. It's not going to blow you away with intense flavours but that's not what I wanted from this brew. It's easy drinking and very tasty.

Nutty Goodness

Great colour, and simple to make. I cant wait to enjoy my first glass of this homebrewed goodness. It is a Nut Brown Ale that will drive the squirrels crazy.

Very Happy With This Kit

Did this one as my first extract brew in a long time. Full boil with filtered water from the LHBS - followed the cooking directions to a T. 3 week primary with Wyeast 1056 - no secondary (last 1.5 weeks in the garage at about 60F). Straight into the keg and force carbonated. I'm drinking this exactly 27 days from brewday. A little darker than I expected (almost a Guinness but not as opaque), but a good balance between bitterness and malt - not too much coffee flavour. Good head retention. Your light beer friends might be a little daunted by the colour, but get them to try it and they will be pleasantly surprised. Final came in at 6.11 ABV (12.2-5.25P).

This beer exceeded my expectations. Package arrived the next day, kit was easy to brew and the beer tastes amazing. The specialty grains give it a really fresh flavor. Thanks OBK!

Toasty!

Great beer really easy to brew. Choice of specialty grains are just perfect. One of them smell like a burned toast. I've been from 1.055 to 1.014 in less than two week into my 14.5 fermenter. By the way fermentation started after really quick with S05. Got bubbles in airlock after only few hours after pitchin in. Instructions says to wait 3 weeks for fermentation... Not sure I really have wait all that time before transfering it into corny keg.
