These French Heavy Toast Fine Oak Chips will help homemade beer or wine produce those oak-aged characteristics traditionally requiring a barrel. They will produce notes of vanilla and caramel, extended aging can give a spicy character.

We recommend using a muslin bag to contain the oak chips while soaking in your beer for easy removal and ease of transferring.
Usage Directions:
  • Suggested amount is 2 ounce per 5 gallons of beer or wine
  • Oak chips only require days to a few weeks to make their impact
