Cardamom Seeds impart a pleasant, spicy cola-like flavour in brewing. Cardamom is typically complimentary with coriander, sweet or bitter orange peel and vanilla. Used in Belgian specialty style ales, but can also be used in beers like porters, stouts or red ales. These seeds have a very strong flavour and aroma, so a little goes a long way.
- Use 1/2 tablespoon per 5 gallon batch
- Use 1/2 tablespoon during secondary fermentation for extra aroma
