Wormwood has been used as an ingredient in brewing for many centuries. This historic herb was used in the times prior to hops to help with beer flavour. Adding to your brew gives it a mild minty and licorice aroma. Wormwood is also the principal ingredient in the liqueur Absinthe.
It has a very strong herbal bittering quality, so be careful on how much you're adding as this is one of the strongest herbs used in the past. Subtle is key.
