Stainless Steel Mini Ball Valve - 1/2" Male NPT X 1/2" Female NPT

Ball valves are types of quarter-turn valves. They come with hollow and perforated pivoting ball in order to control the flow of liquid. The valve is open when the hole is aligned with the flow and it is closed when the handle is pivoted to 90 degrees.

Mini ball valves are very durable and they are reliable even after prolonged periods of not using them. This mini ball valve is made from high quality 304 stainless steel. It is rust-proof and can last for a long time.

It is a versatile valve that can withstand pressures of up to 1,000 psi and even temperatures of up to 500 degrees Celsius. This particular ball valve has a dimension of 2" x 1 1/2" for its length and height, respectively. Since it is a generally small valve, it can be used in smaller brew kettles where the installation of larger spigots is inappropriate.

The only disadvantage with ball valves is that they trap water within the center of the cavity once in the closed position. This can cause the valve to break in the event of a freeze. The good thing is, this particular ball valve has a blow-out proof system to prevent the water from pooling at the center of the spigot.

For easy installation, it comes with both female and male pipe fittings. Install the ball valve at the bottom of the brew kettle to efficiently draw out the boiled wort to the new container.
