Star San is an acid based sanitizer from Five Star. It is quick, odorless, tasteless and safe for most materials (except for softer metals). Star San creates foam when in action. This foaming insures coverage and contact time in larger vessels to better penetrate into the nooks and crannys. Any foam that is left behind in your carboy or keg will not harm your beer or you. The limited contact time coupled with the small amount required makes it very economical and convenient. This is a no rinse sanitizer that is perfectly safe and non-toxic, nor will it impart any flavours or odors. Do not fear the foam!

Please Note: This product is recommended for commercial use only

Usage Directions:

Use 1 ounce per 5 gallons of water, it only takes 1 minute of required contact time to sanitize
If you plan to add some to a spray bottle application, it is best to used distilled or reverse osmosis water to extend the life of the unused portion. (Minerals in tap water will reduce the shelf life of Star San once combined in a solution)

This Will Last A Long Time

It's a lot, but will last you a long time and many brew days. There is nothing worse than starting your sanitation and realizing you are out. I have had this for some time but Starsan does not go bad. OBK has the best prices too. If you are reading this, just buy it already. I have had nothing but great batches (knock on wood) and this is all I use.

Never Going Back...

When I started brewing I was using a 1oz:1gallon bleach to water ratio. It sure was cheap but I got a few bad batches during the process. Since switching to star san, all have been good. Enough said, never going back

Never Another Worry About Sanitization

Great product. I've always got a spray bottle full of it somewhere. Kegs, fermenters, buckets all get a dose. I fill airlocks or blowoff containers with it. The stuff is so effective and cheap that it's going to last you, and is a heck of a lot cheaper than a batch of spoiled beer. 6.24 ml of star-san in a 4L jug of distilled water works quite well. The syringes at the pharmacy work quite well for measurement. I bought the big bottle, and I won't have to worry for a while.

Epic Deal

This is a great deal. Just look around @ competitors. OBK is substantially cheaper. Great cleaning product, always good to have on hand in a spray bottle... Also, oddly enough, also good at cleaning up great dane drool (if you have one, you'll understand)
