Mash King Thermometer - 1/2" Male NPT (2" Stem)

This gauge came with my 16g kettle. After only a few uses condensation got behind the glass and makes it hard to read. its still accurate if you can read it. This gauge was not submerged as I remove it after every use when I clean my kettle.

As mentioned below i have also had wort make its way behind the glass somehow. It still reads accurately but hard to read at times. But.. ya get what ya pay for, so I can't complain too much.

Not sure why, but mine seems to leak from the kettle to inside of the thermometer. Water is accumulating inside the thermometer, behind the glass. This causes evaporation inside it and I have a hard time seeing the temperature. It might be defective...?

Fits perfectly and works very well. Quick and accurate readings.

I always use two thermometer, so I know if one get messed up, I have an alternative for my brew day and this one do is job real good

Bought to install into brew pot to monitor temp during heating/cooling. Checked with digital thermometer and its spot on. Second one ive bought and its the same. Handy thing to have without having to hold a seperate thermometer.

I was initially unsure about whether this was a worthwhile addition to my BK, but it has been extremely convenient prior to reaching a boil (with the lid on), and while chilling.

For the cost and they do work very well can't lose

Bought one with my 15gallon SS pot to use for a boil kettle and quickly wondered how I ever brewed without it. I was curious about its accuracy so I checked it with a freshly calibrated precision thermometer and it was spot on for accuracy. Great price as well! Love it! I quickly picked up another and installed it on my MLT!

This thermometer is impressive! Just by holding it in my hand the reading responded instantly. I used additional thermometers to ensure this one was calibrated and got a 100% match. This is a thermometer I can trust to respond to changes in my kettle so that I know precisely when to take the next steps.

Installed with teflon tape and no issues at all. Great accuracy and the short probe doesn't get caught in any bags!

fairly accurate right out of the box. easy to read and great size for all uses in the brewery. I have them on HLT MLT BK and Plate Chiller. Would definitely replace them if I broke one.

I've only calibrated this once since I bought it and it has held calibration very well. Would use it again!

Installed this product on both my boil kettle and HLT. They work like a charm! Checked them against a digital thermometer and they were bang on for accuracy.

This is a high quality probe thermometer. However, for the application I was hoping to use it for accuracy is limited. As a previous reviewer mentioned, it seems to often read cool during mashing, possibly due to the short probe.

I use one of these in my Kettle when I BIAB mash. Temperatures are easy to read and accurate. I would recommend using the longer probe for mashing as the short probe seems to read a cooler temperature on the outside of the pot than the temp at the center of the mash.

Installed one in my mash and kettle. Small enough I can stir without hitting the probe. Stainless is easy to clean. Just make sure to install with enough Teflon tape can rotate the face any way you want.
