Made from Galvanised Steel, this Trash Pump Suction Strainer is designed to protect suction pumps from clogging or damage by keeping larger debris out of the intake. It's round basket shape features large square holes that allow for greater flow than smaller round-hole strainers.

This strainer is designed to be installed on the submerged end of a suction hose, where it works like a simple filter by blocking any debris larger than the basket's hole size from entering the hose. It's typically used in place of a foot valve when one isn't required.

It has 1 1/2" Female NPT threading at the top, allowing it to connect directly to the Male NPT threads of a suction hose for quick, secure installation.
