Also known as flaked barley. Greatly adds body to almost any beer while increasing head retention. Introduces subtle toasty/bready notes when used in larger quantities.

If you want to imbue your beer with a rich grainy taste and improve its body, Toasted Barley Flakes by OiO might be just the thing you need. These gelatinized and slightly toasted barley flakes do not require milling and can be added directly to the mash. When used in smaller amounts up to 10% of the overall grain bill, Toasted Barley Flakes will improve the fullness and smoothness of body, as well as help with foam stability, which may be beneficial for a very broad range of beer styles. In larger amounts Toasted Barley Flakes will impart a distinct grainy flavour, which can be a welcome trait in some malt-forward beers.
