Intertap Stainless Steel Flow Control Ball Lock Liquid Disconnect - 1/4" MFL

Simple device that just works! I purchased Perlick 650 FC faucets a few years ago, but was still getting some foaming and having to keep multiple lengths of beer line around to pre-balance the system ahead of the faucet for best results. With this little device I've gone back to my old regular Perlick 525s and even shortened my beer line to just 3 feet. I just tapped a finicky keg of Kölsch and had no issues setting up the system. Just dialed in my reg, then slowly opened the flow control until I was getting enough flow at the faucet. Probably the first time I've had literally zero wasted beer due to foam on the first few pours. My only complaint is that wide open there isn't a lot of flow. At 12-14psi wide open it's just barely fast enough with a 3' beer line and 12 rise. I'd estimate that minimum restriction is 50%. If you have longer beer line runs due to keg/faucet location you may have issues getting enough pressure at the tap and want to stick with an FC faucet.
