Widely used in commercial breweries across North America, Five Star PBW is a buffered alkaline detergent that is a far better substitute for caustic soda cleaners. PBW is extremely effective in removing protein soils found on brew kettles, fermenters, conditioning tanks, and filters thanks to being formulated as a C.I.P. cleaner. Thanks to the formulation of buffers and mild alkalis, it is safe on both skin and soft materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and plastics. Will not damage rubber gaskets, soft metals, or your skin.

Can effectively clean items that can't be reached with a brush or sponge, and is strong enough to remove thick, difficult, caked-on organic soils. Environmentally friendly, biodegradable, and will not harm septic systems.

Please Note: This product is recommended for commercial use only

Usage Directions:

Use 1 to 2 ounces per gallon for cleaning kettles
Use 3/4 ounce per gallon for fermenters, kegs, tanks, and other equipment
Soak equipment overnight in solution; rinse the following morning - no scrubbing required!

You Never Have Enough Of PBW

I was a soap guy until I try PBW. Damn this stuff is amasing no more hours of delabaling bottles, no more unwashable wort stain, I might even wash myself with it (kidding)

Everything Is Awesome!

Works exactly as advertised. I use PBW on everything. Kettle to fermenters. It will simply bubble away all that caked on organic solids and leave your equipment clean. Must have!

Very Effective

Soak fermentors, kegs, blow-off tubes, and airlocks with PBW and any stuck on guck comes off within a couple hours without any scrubbing.To stretch the value I will reuse the solution a few times, and it's just as effective.

Good cleaner, does wonder

PBW is my go to when something get crusty. Let soak in warm water for 30 minutes and everything just falls at the bottom. No scrubbing needed! Also this is way cheaper on here than in my local stores.

This stuff work amazingly. Perfect to clean the mess left in your fermenter by that batch of Double IPA.

Amazing Stuff!

I was skeptical of the hype around PBW but I tried it out on my boil kettle and I was blown away! I had burn marks on the inside, a nasty ring with the boil always occurred, and caked on deposit at the bottom. After 24 hours, this pot was brand new!

Indispensable

This gets rid of the toughest gunk, with no effort!- Great for reconditioning pop cylinders gummed-up with 30-year-old syrup remnants, or to de-funk your IIPA kegs (that your buddy neglected to return for 9 months).- Also wicked for cleaning stainless steel coffee carafes!
